To be eligible for the Tech.Pass, you must meet any two of the following criteria


Have a last drawn fixed monthly salary of at least S$20,000 (or its equivalent in any foreign currency) during the last 12 months. Candidates with annual income that cumulatively exceeds S$240,000 (or its equivalent in any foreign currency) will also be considered.


Have at least 5 cumulative years of experience in a managing role in a tech company with: a valuation or market cap of at least US$500 million; OR at least US$30 million funding raised.


Have at least 5 cumulative years of experience in a leading role in the development of a tech product (e.g., made major contributions to the design or/and deployment of a tech product) that has: at least 100,000 monthly active users; OR at least US$100 million annual revenue.

What are the differences between the Singapore Tech.Pass and Employment Pass?

The Tech.Pass scheme is different from the Employment Pass, which depends on a specific job or employer in Singapore. Tech.Pass applicants can apply without a local employer’s support. This allows tech professionals to have more freedom to switch roles and employers, such as being an investor, entrepreneur, consultant, or lecturer in the Singapore tech sector.

Can I bring my family members to Singapore if I have a Tech.Pass?

Yes, you can. You can sponsor your spouse, children, and parents to stay in Singapore with either a Dependant Pass or a Long-Term Visit Pass from MOM. You will need to apply for each family member separately.

    Can I apply for Tech.Pass if I already have an Employment Pass, Personalised Employment Pass, or EntrePass?

    Yes, you can. You can apply for Tech.Pass if you meet the eligibility criteria for it. But remember that you may also need to meet the eligibility or renewal criteria of your current work pass.
